Extra-wide mechanical transport
A European shipyard entrusted us with transporting a 5.5-meter-wide, 18-ton shipbuilding machine from Tianjin, China to the Port of Bremen, Germany. Due to the cargo exceeding standard container width limits, the transport faced numerous challenges, including road width restrictions, limited bridge and tunnel clearance, complex port crane coordination, and Germany’s strict regulations for over-width cargo. Upon receiving the assignment, we conducted detailed measurements and analysis, developing a scientific transport plan that utilized a flat rack container with an over-width specialized trailer, combined with wooden crate packaging and full lashing to ensure cargo stability and safety throughout the journey.
Prior to transport, we communicated extensively with local traffic authorities and port management, planned the route to avoid width-restricted sections, and applied for temporary permits. During transit, certain bridges had limited clearance, making conventional vehicles unusable. We promptly adjusted the transport strategy, using low-profile trailers for specific segments and assigning experienced personnel for on-site supervision. At the port, due to the excessive width, standard lifting equipment could not operate, so auxiliary lifting devices were employed, and close coordination with the port and shipping company ensured safe and successful loading onto the vessel.

A European machinery manufacturer entrusted us with transporting a 25-ton, 12-meter industrial machine from Shanghai, China to Hamburg, Germany. Upon receiving the assignment, we conducted detailed measurements and developed a 3D loading model, selecting an open-top container and ultra-low flatbed trailer for transport.
